Extremely poor standard of facilities. The changing rooms are dirty and smelly and there is very little maintenance so lockers don't always work, and there are always numerous broken door cubicle door locks, missing clothes hooks, wrist straps missing from keys, missing clothes hooks etc.. There is no control exercised within the pool and the club seem happy to allow the "deep end" to sit empty whilst people struggle to give each other space to swim in the public area. When we took out our membership, we were told that the health suite was being refurbished and would be back in action in Spring 2017. It's now July 2017 and work has only just started. There is no point complaining about it - when I did I was told that I was incorrect and that my suggestions were illogical. My advice - go somewhere else, and certainly don't get pulled into buying a membership.

Someone called Paul Mead or named something similar but not Fred Astaire has as he so sarcastically rebuked my request for him to repeat his name. I requested yesterday the facilities for a person like myself with a spinal cord injury and wheelchair(motorised)bound. First of at 4 pm today this Paul so hastily referred to me as Andy whasshisname to my wife/carer. I spoke to him and he was abrupt and started to be funny on the telephone. I will not accept this sort of behaviour from anybody period. I do not expect this sort of attitude from a public service provider. I am going to take this matter further to a higher authority. Don't I have enough problems without this from an imbecile? My Social Services team and Community Rehab suggested I use Grand Central Pools for my rehabilitation to start with and especially before my accident six years ago I was a fully paid up member of the Gym with bodybuilding as my hobby. I have found it very challenging adjusting to life without the use of my left side of my body. It's been a long road back to anywhere near getting out of the house on an off-chance. I face challenges every day and will relish tackling this moron by spreading the word about the people Grand Central Pools employ these days. PLEASE DO NOT TELEPHONE MY NUMBER AGAIN!
