  In response to Sue E. her dog was very well cared for, we cannot help if her dog was kennel guarding and would advice that she perhaps has never been informed of this at other kennels, we apologize for being so honest about her dogs stay and will in future throw uneaten food away instead of returning it the owners. We would not leave any animal to not eat for 4 days, chicken, tuna and other tit bits will be offered to try to entice your pet to eat and we will do everything possible to ensure that any nervous or unhappy dogs have extra time spent with them to help them enjoy their stay. We have been a succesful boarding kennels for over 40 years and would not be here now if we simply left dogs to starve. As far as the toys are concerned we sometimes have to move dogs if their kennel needs scrubbing during their stay and the likelyhood is that the toys were not moved with the dog, for which we apologize. • Very unhappy

  Recently used this kennels and NEVER AGAIN. Discovered that my dog had not eaten for 4 days despite being told by the kennel maid intially that she had been "fine" and "great". The only reason I knew she'd not eaten was because they gave me back 90% of the food I'd left for her and I queried it with another member of staff. I had to ask for her toys (which I'd sent in with her) and they gave me the wrong toys back....had my toys even been with my dog I wonder?? Was also told that she had been "sulking" and kennel guarding. My dog has been going into other kennels for the last 3 years and has never had any problems. Quite frankly I don't think the man I spoke to even knew which dog I was talking about!! (she was in the car by this time so he didn't see her). Seriously alarmed that my dog was so unhappy. She came back smelling very unclean.

  Used these kennels for the first time this week on recommendation from a friend, excellent service, my two labradors were very happy and had clearly been cared for well. Was slightly put off my the look of the old house but after looking round the kennels saw that they are excelently built and clean. Would definatly recommend.

  Just picked up my dog and my cat, they were both pleased to see me, my cat was still playing with her toy, my dog was being fussed by one of the staff, was pleased with them both, they were fed well, it definately showed, will be using again soon as they both seemed very happy.

• VERY HAPPY DOG'S

  USED THESE KENNELS REGULAR, MY DOG'S LOVE IT, ALWAYS PLEASED TO GO WITH THE STAFF, NEVER HAD A COMPLAINT YET, DOG'S ARE WELL FED, CLEAN WELL CARED FOR AND WILL CONTIUE TO USE.

  sent my 2yr old dog to these kennels for the first time 27th August for onw week. When I picked him up he at 0800 he was wet, eyes were stuck together weight loss was very noticable. A smooth haired daushound that had lost a real amount of hair. I asked for his belongings that were also wet through. I asked the kennel girl what the issues were on reply' I dont know I have not been looking after him!!!' I have also sent an e-mail with my concerns it was answered that they would investigate however no further corespondance. Never use again..
