MCG ROOFING SERVICES

In October/November 2007, I had re-roofing done by MCG Roofing and Building Services of Buxton. They did an excellent job for me and I have no hesitation in recommending them for further similar work. Before shortlisting MCG, I had no knowledge of their capabilities and reputation. I asked for and received references from a number of their recent clients. Those references were all positive. I visited a number of their previous work sites to view completed roofing works and to talk directly to those previous clients. Again, I only received positive feedback. The work undertaken for me by MCG included: • Erecting scaffolding • Removing existing ridge tiles, slates and laths from the house roof • Removing and disposing of substandard insulation/rubbish from roof space • Supply and fitting of new insulation in the roof space • Supply and fitting of new breathable roof shield felt with new tannalised laths • Replacing barge boards and fitting a dry verge system to protect roof edge slates • Replacement of a defective chimney pot and re-pointing of chimney stacks • Supply and fitting of new leadwork to roof valleys and chimneys • Relaying of slates including making good shortfall with reclaimed welsh slate • Relaying of ridge tiles • Inspection and cleaning of gutters • Roof refurbishments to attached annex, shed and garage • Removing and disposing of all waste. I was very pleased with all the work MCG did for me. The quality of workmanship was excellent. MCG used experienced roofers who clearly knew their jobs. Work progressed steadily and to time with no unexpected interruptions. Work sites were kept tidy and there was proper attention to health and safety and to the protection of my property from wind and rain. I have no hesitation in recommending MCG for future similar works.
