the park tavern is outside the centre of macclesfield on the way to the college. it is a well established traditional pub with a reasonable range of beers on offer. it is slightly out dated and not one to go out of your way for. it has had a bad reputation in the past and the locals are not always the most welcoming and the staff indifferent. it is mostly one for locals, but is not completely unwelcoming and they have various theme nights on offer. parking is either on the main street or on a side street. it is popular with the college students and can get a littly roudy on a friday and saturday night. not one for those who like a quiet pleasant drink in a pub with a charming ambience.
