• A Big Thank You

  My hair was in bad condition through years of home bleaching, and Philip persuaded me to go closer to my natural colour to give the hair a rest. This I duly did, and four months down the line, Philip has returned me to my favourite blonde - but with professional highlights instead of the harsh product I was using before. My hair is already in much better condition. Philip will readily spend time discussing exactly what you want from him - a pleasant change from the hairdressers who style your hair as THEY want

• Better than a Salon

  Philip is a real gentleman.My hair hasn't looked this good in ages.Philip has so much experience in cutting techniques and coloring ,I just didn't expect to find this level of expertise outside a salon,he is in fact miles ahead of any salon I've been to.thanks philip

  I have been using Phillip for over 3 years as have several members of my family. We think that he is probably one of the best cutters in the North West. His punctuality and availability some times at short notice has been appreciated.I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone wanting a polite and professional hairdresser.

  Philip (hair) and Danielle (make up) came round to my house on very short notice and I had my hair and make up done for a night out. They are lovely, very professional and they did a fantastic job! I went out a very happy girl, thanks guys xx

  I've just had my hair relaxed and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results! My hair is very wavy and I have to use my GHD's every day which is time consuming and really dries my hair. I'd heard about this product and just wish i'd done it ages ago. It took literally 10 mins to comb the product through and all the kinks have gone! Very pleased indeed and will certainly switch to Philip John from now on!

  My mother and I have been looking for a decent hairdresser since we moved in to the area. We decided to give Philip a chance but was worried the reviews were made up by his friends. We took the view that we needed to give someone a chance and that our hair would grow back if we didn't like it. My naturally curly hair was in bad condition after having a baby recently and my mum has been trying to have her hair in a contemporary style for a while. For both of us, Philip acheived exactly what we had asked for (he gave me a treatment for my hair, a good cut, and a rich colour, for my mum a funky new style) and we laughed a lot too! It is not often you feel you have had a night out, when you have actually had a night in! Genuinely recommended

  i was relieved to find a hairdresser that actually wanted to have a look at my hair and discuss what I wanted rather than just what they felt like doing for a change. I must admit i absolutely detest going to the salon, especially as my hair was in such a state from the previous one i visited. Phil was an absolute star and advised me on the best course of action! my hair now looks and feels fantastic and i am over the moon. phil is the most patient hairdresser i have met i am ridiculously picky and a bit of a nightmare and he handled it extremely well ha ha ha! i wouldn't hesitate to recommend and i will definitely be returning

  Philip coloured and cut my hair and my daughters, he came over beforehand for a consultantion, he was extremely professional, not only did he do a superb job with the colours and cuts but he treated our hair to a deep conditioner which worked wonders - absolutely super man, professional with a great sense of humour and superb attention to detail - look no further, and book him now .....extremely highly recommended - Zoe

  Hi my partner Monica lives in Japan and theres a photo of her and a friend on philipjohn's site. I web cam a friend in Manchester, and could not believe how straight and shiney her hair was. she told me Monica about this new hiardresser philipjohn Monica web cam him and showed him her hair.
